Gas Cylinder Truck Explodes on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway, Chaos Ensues; CM Issues Orders

Rajasthan's Jaipur-Ajmer Highway Accident: A major accident occurred late Tuesday night on Rajasthan's Jaipur-Ajmer highway. A vehicle rear-ended a truck carrying LPG cylinders near the Sawarda culvert in the Maujmabad area, causing a massive explosion and fire.

As soon as the fire broke out, there was chaos in the area. Traffic on the highway was stopped, and several fire engines arrived at the spot. According to sources, a large number of gas cylinders were filled in the truck at the time of the accident.

Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa reached the spot

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa immediately reached the spot and supervised the relief operations. He said, "The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has not been identified yet. The driver and conductor of the truck have been sent to the hospital. The fire has now been brought under control, and the administration is continuously monitoring it."

There are no reports of any casualties, but traffic has been halted on both sides of the road. Fire and administrative teams are working with utmost caution. Jaipur Range IG Rahul Prakash said the accident occurred at a roadside eatery where many truck drivers stop.

Relief and rescue operations completed; no casualties reported

The IG said, "A truck filled with LPG cylinders was standing on the roadside. Suddenly a tanker filled with chemicals came from behind and collided with it. With the collision, there was a huge explosion, and the fire spread." He said that the fire has been completely brought under control and there is no information about any casualty.

The chief minister expressed grief and gave strict instructions

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has expressed deep sorrow over this accident. He wrote on social media, "The fire in a truck filled with gas cylinders in the Mauzamabad area of ​​Jaipur Rural is very sad. Fire brigades and disaster management teams are engaged in relief work. Instructions have been given to the district administration to ensure proper treatment of the injured and all possible help to the affected."
